I’m in my 40’s (just for a little bit longer), I have a paid FT job that keeps my brain intensively engaged for long hours, which I do from home most of the time and also gives me opportunities to travel. I’ve been married to a wonderful man for 20 years and we have 2 teens that demand a decent level of attention (don’t they all?). I am a social person and love to stay in touch with family and friends, near and far, that involves 4 parents, 4 siblings, many cousins, and many more friends in many countries.
I lately wanted to share more about the things I love. If I wanted to make money…advisers say pick a niche! Focus on a narrow theme/topic…but my life is not about a niche, and I have been “observing” and watching and following all kinds of things online… Now, I want to feel what’s to be on the other side and share myself…my friends and family find some of my endeavors, recipes, projects interesting so perhaps…you will too.
On my page, you may expect to find blogs about things I like…such as:
- traveling, exploring new places, walking their streets, trying their foods, understanding their culture.
- watching my kids play their sports, soccer and field hockey. I’m not the wisest technically speaking about these games, but I’ll be watching my babies rain or shine.
- DIY projects at home (easy-mid complexity no heavy tools required) I’ve made makeovers at home such as my Patio flowerpots holding string lights, my powder room (which I did the wallpaper myself), my home office has been the latest refresh! I like a classic modern décor.
- organizing and decluttering, all about neat and clean.
- reading, and recommendations from my bookclub group of 16 years! A wonderful girls-night-out over a certain novel.
- cooking, when time allows, and I love to decorate cakes (I used to do so intensively for my kids birthdays)
- exercising or enjoying sports to the point they are social and keeps me healthy. I’m not a fitness-mom and I don’t have a 6 pack. I believe I am on a relatively healthy shape (everything is relative) so perhaps you’ll get to hear from my tennis class, pilates class, visits to the gym, sailing with friends, my walks outside (selectively done only when weather is nice) , or my time alone in my getaway home gym.
- volunteering when I can (this I truly wish I could do more of) with my neighborhood, with my kids schools, with colleagues at work, with select local area organizations.
- And I like anything I find that is “time saver” whatever tips or things help me make time from daily routine tasks to allocate more time for myself.
And…why the name for this site? Because I’ve started to discover the world of relaxing, appreciating small moments when I don’t have to be doing something I can just enjoy some Unplugging time!
I hope you follow me on Instagram and visit my blogs here. Please do let me your thoughts when you do. Would like to hear from you.
Stay tuned.
